Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 pair reunion
After their success from the previous year, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy that brought in 185.92 crore at the domestic box office, Kartik and Kiara rejoin in Satyaprem Ki Katha. The follow-up to Priyadarshan’s 2007 film with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav was one of the first big box office hits following the cinema closure brought on by the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic.
booking in advance
Satyaprem Ki Katha sold 51,500 tickets nationwide between Wednesday at 10 p.m. and Thursday morning, according to tweets from film industry analyst Sumit Kadel, INOX, PVR, and Cinepolis. According to him, it was “one of the best pre-sales for a mid-size film post-pandemic.”
In the process, Satyaprem Ki Katha became the fifth biggest advance booking of the year, after Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan (5.56 lakh), Adipurush, starring Prabhas (2.85 lakh), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, starring Ranbir Kapoor (73,000), and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, starring Salman Khan (55,000). Adipurush and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan failed to pass the important Monday test and whimpered at the box office, but Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar were able to maintain the momentum thanks to strong word of mouth. In fact, previously this year’s premiere of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan coincided with Eid.Due to a lack of competition, Satyaprem Ki Katha’s next competition is most likely to last for at least two weeks if it is successful in getting good word of mouth. Vidya Balan’s first cinema release after the epidemic, Anu Menon’s murder thriller Neeyat, will be the sole significant competition for the movie next Friday, July 7.
